Why are soft drinks bad for health?

Every day we read the harmful effects of soft drinks in the newspaper and books. Even after reading all these children, young men and women drinks diet soda, soft drinks and  soda. When I go to the hotels I have seen many people prefer soft drinks with food. The recent study says diet and sodas increases obesity problems, kidney damage and certain types of cancers. Soft drinks increases there blood pressure. The recent research says 48% increase in heart attacks and strokes among daily soda and soft drink drinkers compared to who did not drink diet sodas and soft drinks daily. Image pixabay Prostate cancer is very common in men in the age group of 45 and 73.   The daily Mail reported on Tuesday that the fizzy drinks are not only harmful to their teeth but it increases the risk of prostate cancer. One soft drink a day increases the risk of cancer up to 40%.

Drinking tea can cut ovarian cancer risk

Ovarian cancer affects many women all over the world. A two year research was conducted by the health officers with around 1000 women with an average age of 60 years, 50% of the 1000 women were diagnosed with ovarian cancer while the other 50% were free of the disease. The researchers found that those who were free of cancer were more likely to be tea drinkers from a very early age than those diagnosed with cancer, The Daily Express reported. There is a powerful compound called, "FLAVONOIDS” which is a strong disease fighting property is present in the black tea.  This is proved in by a study at the School of Public health, Curtin University in Perth, Australia. So tea consumption should be encouraged.

Benefits of exercise for pregnant women with high BP

Research says regular exercise throughout pregnancy may have useful effects for girls who have high BP during gestation - contrary to previous analysis that steered otherwise. Starting the exercise well before pregnancy and maintained through most of the pregnancy is very important for girls to mitigate the danger of pre-eclampsia. The research  team evoked cardiovascular disease in pregnant rats by limiting blood flow to the rat placentas and monitored gestation when six weeks of exercise on activity wheels. Animals in test ran around thirty kilometres per week before maternity and around four to five kilometres per week throughout maternity.

Common cold is caused by viruses and we can treat the symptoms. During winter month’s cold is common in every household especially in children. Everyone can take some small preventive measures against the cold virus infections. Quality sleep is good for a better immune system We all know that minimum 8 hours of sleep is important for everyone. In 2009 a research study gave a conclusion that people who regularly get 8 hours of sleep and a better quality sleep are immune to cold. So there is a direct connection between your sleep and cold .Cold spreads during the winter because people tend to stay indoors. If there is a person who has cold at home there are high chances of contracting the infection. Prevention is better than cure . If cold drinks or any food item or ice creams are allergic to you in winter avoid it. Proper hygiene is very important to avoid cold infections.Keep your hands and household sanitized .If you come across door handles or lift in any public places wash
